Love Yourself, Changing Women Self Perception.

The latest Dove campaign "Real Beauty Sketches" by Ogilvy & Mather Brazil addresses image issues by showing women how they are lovingly seen by others instead of the harsh image they have of themselves. Surprisingly enough, they actually look closer to the version of themselves that others gently see.

The "Star Models" ads from agency Revolution Brasil fight anorexia by comparing fashion illustrations to images of real models Photoshopped to have the same measurements as the drawings. The celebration of Anorexia in Fashion has distorted the perception of beauty and by creating impossible figures has hurt deeply women self-esteem. Bones are not beautiful people, true women are.

Gucci always Gucci, Spring Summer 2013

I fell in love with Gucci when I was five and I am still hooked. I just can't explain, it's instinctive. This year I finally broke away from black and fell for bright color, Gucci reads my soul. Bright pink, cobalt, citrus yellow, coral, and turquoise. "I love to play with color for Spring," _ Frida Giannini

Street Photographer Vivian Maier, a Talent Revealed.

A nanny by trade, Vivian Maier’s street and travel photography was discovered by chance in 2007 at a local auction house in Chicago. Known as "V", her full name Vivian Dorothea Maier (1926-2009) was an American amateur street photographer, New York City born that grew up in France. After returning to the United States, she worked for forty years as a nanny in Chicago. Nobody close to her knew her talent, she was reserved and kept most of her invaluable work for herself.

Maier’s ability to grab the right frame at exactly the right moment, with elements of lighting, movement and essence all aligning, is revealed in the remarkable fact that she shot more than one picture of the same moment in time. An intensely private person who kept most of her work hidden, Maier also created a series of homemade documentary films and audio recordings that have yet to be released to the public. Most of her work was still undeveloped film at the time that was found.

Discover her work and unique sense of closeness, the soul of her objects exposed in every shot.
